The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organisations.

Being the only national organisation of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology, ISTE effectively contributes in various missions of the Union Government. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, AICTE/DST/MIT/State Govts. are well associated with the ISTE for programmes related to technical education.

Faculty and student Chapters of ISTE (Indian Society of Technical Education) has been functional in the college for the last two years. ISTE is a professional organization basically comprising of academicians, faculty & students of countrywide engineering colleges. ISTE is primarily setup for promotion of higher studies & technical education and carries out (directly or through its various chapters) the following activities:

Publication of bi – monthly magazine/ newsletter.
ISTE / AICTE sponsored courses / seminar on relevant and state – of –the art subjects/ topics through summer/ winter schools / workshops.
Holding of annual National Convention of faculty/students.

Providing guidance and training to students to develop better learning skills, pleasing personality and industry ready engineering professionals, are the key result areas of the College ISTE Student Chapter. For efficient and result oriented functioning of the society, an interview was conducted to select society coordinators from all the engineering branches of the college

Workshop Conducted under ISTE

A 3 Day National Level workshop on “Fabrication of Arduino based Inverter for Domestic Application” under student chapter ISTE, was conducted by department of electrical engineering at CIT College. This workshop was conducted from 24 to 26 Oct 2017 under the guidance of Dr. Nitin Gupta, MNIT Jaipur. and assisted by Mr. Rahul Garg. This workshop was conducted in 2 session per day in which students and participants learn about the basics of 1 Ph Domestic Inverter technology and application of arduino. Participants fabricate an in house inverter circuits using Arduino Board. They also design firing circuits for inerter using TLP250. At the last day of workshop participants were accorded with certificates along with prizes to outstanding performers. Our honorable director Mr. Tejas R Shah gave vote of thanks to Dr. Nitin Gupta, MNIT Jaipur for giving our students their valuable time and teachings. They also give congratulations to Mr. Rajnesh Yadav, Mr. Dinesh Rao, Mr. Rahul Sharma and department faculties for successful conduction of workshop.

Chartered Institute of Technology is privileged to provide a platform of focused, methodical and blissful learning, igniting and fostering the young minds, empowering them to carry out a revolution in the fields of Science & Technology. In association with ISTE, CIT organised a workshop on “Machine learning and Artificial intelligence” Our resource persons Dr Sandeep Kumar Yadav, IIT Jodhpur and Dr Dharmendra Yadav, BTU Bikaner directed us with necessary mathematical background and skills in order to understand, design and implementation of modern ML methodologies and also shared the implementation aspects and the results of the recent application of ML in Computer Vision, Healthcare and Patient Management etc. It was a free cost workshop where learning enthusiast participate in it. we provided an e-certification to all the participants. Overall 165 participants all over India participated with all dedication. It was conducted through Google Meet and the link was shared to participants through the mail. This workshop has given an overview of many concepts, techniques, and algorithms in machine learning, beginning with topics such as classification and linear regression and ending up with more recent topics such as working with the neural network, network training and adaptive training etc.
